You've clearly never played the tutorial and campaign for something like Warcraft 3 - it's excellent, dead-simple, extremely watered down at the start, and very explicitly calls out the core mechanics of an RTS and of WC3 specifically as each new concept is introduced. but they cost the most per unit ( 60 = 1 mole/3 squirrels from a warren) Very situational, but it is worth mentioning. as such, you can get away with some really wonky shit.

moles are unique in that they are the only unit that can be built anywhere. (bonus) moles- if I really wanna troll, I use moles, like, i just mass them in secret and rush the base when they aren't paying attention. Hot air balloon- can stop early pushes if you rush it, but it cuts into your bottom line of resources early game pretty hard so you gotta be carefulĪny tier 2- this really depends on who your playing against, but I run snakes or chameleons as both are really solid choices Pill box turret- nice to have a little defense/ stop ledge camping thing is, they actually aren't that great long term as a lot of units just out damage their healing. I only ever have 3 warrens of them up and I try to make sure they are well defended. Pigeons- Only healing force in the game, duh, of course I'm going to rock them. Lizards- my pick group, have about 12 of em at all times to ensure I can drive them behind and kill tier 2 units / certain tier 3s Squirrels- main fighting force, they have good range, so they make the bulk of the army, but they are susceptible to certain units, like snakes or uncle butter. this game can be a little intimidating at times, so helping them with some simple builds may help grow the fanbase a little more that being said, I would love to compile some builds for new players. It has a small fanbase, but I personally think that it is the best "first" rts for people. So tooth and tail just got it standardized map update, which I hope may pull in some more people.
